Fiesty Fairytales Anyone?

Fairytales. We cherish them and their memories.  My three daughters love them, love the romance, the dresses and the magic. But when reading to my sharp-eared little gang of girlies I struggle to explain why the man is always the hero and why the happy ending is always a wedding. Fortunately for all of us lucky ladies today there has been fabulous explosion of “new” fairy tales with sassy princesses and dragons, as well as new books which bring to life history’s heroines and give new colour to their view of “herstory”. These nightly capers are full of outspoken, strong characters, fabulous fun, a good dollop of cheeky humour and oodles of originality.  Here are some of our favourites:
