Colette Women's Dress Block Print with Swedish Blue Hand Smocking
The Colette Dress, for women of style and substance. Named after the French writer famed for capturing the complexity of female existence in prose, comes a dress that celebrates femininity in every stitch and swish. This midi dress is made from beautiful block print linen. The high neck, tiered skirt and and keyhole opening create a flattering vertical silhouette that is softened and enhanced by a wealth of unapologetically feminine details - a garland of hand stitched trellis zigzags in Swedish blue around the neckline, fluted flutter sleeves finished with hand cross stitching, soft frills around the jawline and a sash tie at the waist. And because we know ladies of substance always have more beneath the surface, the Colette dress is finished with a full cotton lining and pockets, no doubt replete with all the weapons of our feminine arsenal be they pens, poetry, pocketbooks or phones.
Please note this dress does not have an elasticated waist. It has a looser a-line shape fastened with a generous sash tie to offer a more versatile fit across sizes.

Sizing
Size S/M is designed to fit a UK size 6-10 /US size 2-8: it measures 125cm down the front from neckline to bottom hem and will fit chest 82 - 89cm
Size M/L is designed to fit a UK size 12 - 16 / US size 10-14: it measures 131cm down the front from neckline to bottom hem and will fit chest 90 - 100cm
Due the way our hand smocked pieces are pleated and sewn, our clothes offer a very versatile fit - there is natural stretch in all hand pleated smocks. For this reason we offer fewer, bridge sizes. This means more room for growth and less waste.

Kid's Fit
In general our girl's fit is “Classic British” meaning dresses are designed to hit just below the knee and blouses sit at the lower waist level. At the beginning of the age range dresses will reach to mid calf; at the upper end of the range they will hit above the knee.
Most of our styles will comfortably fit your child beyond the age range specified: elasticated sleeves, tie straps and sashes allow you get as much as possible from each outfit. Better for you and better for the planet.

Smock London delivers to the all areas of the United Kingdom. Standard delivery is free for orders over £100. For orders under £100 delivery is £4.95 (Standard delivery) and £9.50 for Express delivery.
We also deliver internationally and shipping is calculated automatically at the checkout.
We offer delivery to the USA with either a postal service (approx 10 days) or a faster courier service with DHL (approx 5 days). Delivery to the USA is FREE for orders over $200.
