The lattice smocking in a triangle form is incredibly difficult technically -  as it required the stitches to be stepped up with each pleat - and can only be undertaken by our most skilled artisans. The front button placket, tiny buttons, smocked cuffs and dainty frill collar keep the silhouette streamlined, skilfully balancing the dramatic volume to create a vision as commanding and beguiling as the woman she was named after.
