Smock London Meets Saff Michaelis

Smocking is a story woven with stitches. With each stitch and each pleat the design and its story takes shape. Inspired by this slow, manual process, we celebrate the "making" of the creative souls we count as friends and conspirators. Just as a cake is baked, and a smock is sewn, an artists is also made - with rich ingredients, an often unpredictable journey, and always with surprising and remarkable results.

The Queen of homely hosting: Saff Michaelis, hostess extraordinaire, mum to Margot, frontispiece, style maven, inadvertent comedienne and heavenly blast of fresh air and fun, as well as long time Smock Sister. 

We were treated to Saff’s homely hosting at her gorgeous west London home where we sat down together amidst cookie baking and tree decorating to discuss style with stories, waistless silhouettes, mummy and me dressing and Smocking stories surrounded by the homely momentos of a life beautifully lived.
