Made from yards of lustrous pale blue cotton sateen, the dress features our signature smocking design, Hearts Entwined, intricately stitched in Pearl threads laced with glittering gold. The design, featuring trellis stitch hearts woven with undulating infinity symbols, continues onto the back of the dress to create a truly luxurious silhouette. The dress is finished with a tulle petticoat, silk taffeta buttons and trim and frill collar to create a couture gown exuding royalty in every stitch and swish.
The Margaret dress is fully lined with single layer tulle petticoat, a sash and half button fastening on the back. It fits true to size.

Our girl's fit is “Classic British” meaning dresses are designed to hit just below the knee. At the beginning of the age range dresses will reach to mid calf; at the upper end of the range they will hit above the knee.
Due the way our hand smocked pieces are pleated and sewn, our clothes offer a very versatile fit - there is natural stretch in all hand pleated smocks. For this reason we offer fewer, bridge sizes. This means more room for growth and less waste.
All of our pieces are designed to be passed down generations when handled with care.
