Our brand new skirt combines our signature hand smocked waistband with wonderfully flattering central button button fastening. 

Named after Mary Seacole, a pioneering nurse and heroine of the crimean war, who published her story in the Victorian bestseller, “The Wonderful Adventures of Mrs Seacole”, the skirt features a pleated and elasticated waistband emblazoned with our "Himalaya" smocking design in gold and black nutcracker threads and top-to-bottom black velvet front button fastening which is fixed through the waistband, then buttoned to the hem.

Made from a fabulously festive Royal Stewart tartan, the high waist gently hugs the hips for a super flattering smooth fit, framing the tiered skirt full of swish.  Pair with black heels and the matching Shelley or Sappho blouse for a co-ord extravaganza made for your own marvellous adventures this holiday season.
