Named after the social reformer who dedicated her life to the support and education of vulnerable women in Victorian Britain, comes this fabulous and festive hand-smocked frock. Inspired by the full skirt silhouettes of the 1950s, the dress combines our signature hand smocked bodice with a bias cut skirt complete with tulle petticoat. Yards of silk-like cotton tartan are pleated into the gently elasticated bodice, emblazoned with a thousand hand stitches in glittering black and gold threads. The central bodice is balanced by generous 3/4 blouson sleeves with frilly cuffs and a voluminous skirt, layered with tulle petticoats and cut on the bias for maxim pirouette power. Perfectly poised for smocking around the Christmas Tree or jingling all the way home, this is a dress for making dreams come true this Christmas.

Standard UK delivery is free for orders over £100. For orders under £100 delivery is £4.95 (Standard delivery) and £9.50 for Express delivery.

We offer delivery to the USA with either a postal service (approx 10 days) or a faster courier service with DHL (approx 5 days). Delivery to the USA is FREE for orders over $250.
Deliveries to the EU are shipped duties and taxes included with DHL and there will be no additional charges incurred by the customer upon import or delivery.
All overseas orders outside the UK and EU are shipped duties unpaid, and may be subject to VAT, customs taxes and duties. This cost is the responsibility of the customer and is payable on receipt of goods. Please check your local customs tax and duty costs as duties must be paid before the goods are released.
