Sacajawea Women's Kaftan Game, Set, Match Cotton with Mermaid Hand Smocking

Named after the native American explorer and guide who graced the face of the dollar coin comes this wild at heart hand-smocked kaftan. Daughter of a Shoshone chief, Sacajewea was the 16 year old guide and interpreter on the historic expedition to expand America in 1804 – a task she undertook carrying her infant son on her back. Her story is one of remarkable bravery and boldness and her namesake kaftan follows suit: yards of finely woven white check cotton is pleated and smocked with a blaze of "Mermaid" pale aqua smocking. The kaftan features flouncy flutter sleeves and a front neck opening with ties and matching tassels – the perfect ensemble to throw on for high voltage style as you head out for sunshine filled adventures this summer.

Size S/M is designed to fit a UK size 6-12 /US size 2-10: it measures 85cm down the front from neckline to bottom hem and will fit chest 82 - 90cm
Size M/L is designed to fit a UK size 12 - 16 / US size 10-14: it measures 90cm down the front from neckline to bottom hem and will fit chest 90 - 100cm
Due the way our hand smocked pieces are pleated and sewn, our clothes offer a very versatile fit - there is natural stretch in all hand pleated smocks. For this reason we offer fewer, bridge sizes. This means more room for growth and less waste.

Kid's Fit
In general our girl's fit is “Classic British” meaning dresses are designed to hit just below the knee and blouses sit at the lower waist level. At the beginning of the age range dresses will reach to mid calf; at the upper end of the range they will hit above the knee.
Most of our styles will comfortably fit your child beyond the age range specified: elasticated sleeves, tie straps and sashes allow you get as much as possible from each outfit. Better for you and better for the planet.

Smock London delivers to the all areas of the United Kingdom. Standard delivery is free for orders over £100. For orders under £100 delivery is £4.95 (Standard delivery) and £9.50 for Express delivery.
We also deliver internationally and shipping is calculated automatically at the checkout.
We offer delivery to the USA with either a postal service (approx 10 days) or a faster courier service with DHL (approx 5 days). Delivery to the USA is FREE for orders over $200.

All overseas orders are shipped duties unpaid, therefore orders shipped outside of the UK may be subject to VAT, customs taxes and duties.
